ABAI, the Spanish business process outsourcing (BPO) company, has inaugurated a new two-storey customer service centre in Lisbon that has space for up to around 500 staff.
The new 3,000 square metre contact centre will provide support in English, French and Spanish among other languages, and serve both national and international clients.
Javier López Cuevas, chairman of the board of directors at ABAI, commented: “This model exemplifies our commitment to growth through new and improved infrastructure that allows us to scale gradually along with our clients”.
Spanish utility firm Endesa will be the centre’s main client, but it will also provide services for companies such as Arval – BNP Paribas Group, AVAYA, and Culligan Portugal (Fonte Viva).
ABAI has nine other service centres located in Madrid, Barcelona, A Coruña, Zaragoza, Málaga, Jaén, and León in Spain, as well as Manizales in Colombia, and São Paulo in Brazil. The firm has a global headcount of 6,000 and serves sectors such as telecommunications, health, banking and insurance, energy, and public administration.
